INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
What is Indian Head Massage?
Head massage originated in India over a thousand years ago and is an extremely effective therapy based on old Ayurvedic techniques which involve working on the upper back, shoulders, neck, face and scalp. Massaging the head can be very beneficial in relieving the stress and tension that fill our day to day lives.
Massage is probably the oldest therapy known to man, and has been practised in the Far and Middle East for at least 5000 years and the benefits have been acknowledged for generations.
How can it help me?
Indian Head Massage may be used to ease tension and strain in the shoulders, neck, head and face.
It may also useful for helping to relieve:
· Headaches
· Tinnitus and other ear problems
· Insomnia
· Sinusitis
· Hair loss and thinning
· Mental tiredness, anxiety and stress
through stimulating and improving circulation, removing tension, dispersing toxins and increasing mobility. It may also rebalance energy and increase alertness and concentration.
Who can have Indian Head Massage?
It is suitable for people of all ages from children to the elderly although anyone with a serious medical complaint should inform their therapist before undertaking a course of treatment. GP consent is advisable for certain conditions.
What can I expect from a treatment?
The first treatment lasts about an hour as it includes a consultation session in which you will be asked to give details about your health and lifestyle. This information will be treated strictly confidentially. You will also be asked to sign a consent form showing that you understand the aims and limitations of the treatments.

How often will I need to come?
This will depend upon a number of factors but it is recommend initially to undertake
a four week course of treatments after which we can assess your needs and decide
whether you would like to continue having regular 'maintenance' treatments e.g. every
