A Lesson in Love
We speak from the higher plane where love is abundant and grace overflows. To see man in such dire needs upsets us greatly. Man has no respect for his environment and the flowers and trees. It greatly upsets us to hear man making a nuisance of himself on the planet. We oversee many things and can influence certain activities but we cannot completely control man. For this there must be co-operation between men and women, and vision.
To speak of love is to speak of kindness, acts of kindness amongst men and women, and of strength in speaking out in an attempt to overrule that which appears to be unsaintly or wrong. To love is to hold out a hand to another amidst chaos and to be able to hear another’s distress and come to their aid.
Let me give you an example. You may wish to use another for your own means but when the time comes you feel a sense of regret or distress at that action and decide to abandon your plan. This is acting in love and not hate for it is wrong for man to use another man for his own means, especially in prejudice or hatred. These things can be dangerous – when man has at his disposal a number of effortless plans he can be deceived into thinking that he is doing the right thing when in fact he needs to follow the path of greater resistance to achieve the higher good. In fact, he need not follow this path at all if it leads to death and destruction; there may be a higher path waiting for him at another stage in his earthly life. There is always a higher path to any given situation and you must strive to recognise, discover and embrace this path.
Even when you think you are right, turn to the person at your left and consider their feelings in relation to the situation and maybe you will think again. What is right for one may not be right for another. It is up to you to, upon encountering the dilemma, to choose according to the higher good of man, not your own desires.
