WHICH THERAPY?
Sometimes it is hard to decide which is the best therapy for you. Certain treatments can be more effective with particular conditions, for example Reiki works on the spiritual energy field so can be good for emotional problems, Reflexology targets particular organs and body systems so can help to get to and treat the root of a problem and Indian Head Massage is excellent for head and neck tension and stress. Scenar Therapy uses a number of protocols which work directly on the spine and spinal nerves which affect all areas of the body, but it can be especially effective for pain relief. Overall, it is best to choose whatever therapy you feel drawn to; you can always try something else if you don’t feel it is quite right for you.
When considering which therapy to try, it is worth checking with your GP to make sure he/she is happy for you to go ahead. If you are on medication or have an unstable health condition it might not be advisable to have treatment. However, in most cases holistic therapies do not cause any adverse effects.
